Greetings, Fellow Traveler!

 

My name is Karen R. Thorne, and if you’ve found your way here,

it’s exactly where you need to be.

Somewhere within my writing is a message for you—a message from the Universe. A message so personal it is uniquely yours, delivered on the wings of words.

Life can be really tough sometimes. Sometimes it feels as if we’re being singled out, picked on by some “higher force,” the heavens, or God. Sometimes we just need to get away, if only for a little while, just the smallest respite from our difficult and often overwhelming lives.

But running away—especially through sex, drugs, food and other abuses—is not the answer.

So what else is there?

I’ve been where you are. Maybe not the exact same circumstances, but I’ve been down some pretty rough roads I was fortunate to survive. I’ve been to the very bottom of The Pit—that most dreaded and fearsome of rabbit holes—and for awhile I thought I’d never get out. In fact, there seemed only one way out: a trapdoor marked Death.

Yet in the midst of my darkest despair there came a ray of hope.  Not from religion, or charity, or someone coming to my rescue, but instead the barest rekindling of the hope I thought had been destroyed. The tiniest ray just bright enough to dispel a bit of the darkness—blessedly, it was enough.

I’m here to share that light with you.

 

What you will find here

Having been down the rabbit hole—more times than I care to count—and found my way out again, I’m eager to share what I’ve learned.

The bottom of a deep dark hole can be a lonely place . . . unless you take a friend with you.

So let me be your friend and guide. Take my hand and we’ll travel together awhile, through strange landscapes and uncharted territories, through dark misty forests filled with monsters unknown. The road may be steep and rocky at times, but you have me to lean on. You’re not alone.

What will we find?

Eclectic things, tools of the traveler, an oddish assortment assembled especially for our journey:

  • generous helpings of mind/body/spirit and holistic healing
  • a good-sized dose of alternative medicine
  • a dash or twenty of positive thinking
  • secret elixirs for healing our deepest wounds by embracing the shadow self
  • enchantments for wholeness through the healing power of love
  • magickal spells of music and the healing power of sound
  • reincarnation and soulmates
  • all things paranormal, especially ghosts
  • mythical creatures, including dragons, elves, and vampires (though not sparkly ones)
  • forays into esoterica, mysticism and the occult
  • explorations of parallel universes, altiverses, and extraterrestrials
  • mind-expansion through the convergence of quantum physics and spirituality
  • balms to soothe the effects of the 2012 Earth changes and the Great Shift, moving from 3D into the multidimensionality of 4D and beyond

 

Like the rabbit hole itself, my writing is highly metaphorical and symbolic: the deeper you look, the deeper it goes. Some of you may miss the subtler meanings; some may see none at all. Still others may catch what I myself have missed—if you do, let me know!

Above all, I trust you will find what you’re searching for, what you need most.

The Universe will allow that to happen.
